Authentication and identity management
The national authentication and identity management service used for NHS library resources is currently OpenAthens.
This is provided by Jisc and funded by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
NICE provides national NHS OpenAthens administration. NHS England funds 4 NHS library teams to provide regional administration.
Local library teams do administration for the organisation(s) for which they provide library services.
